This custom quilt was a wedding gift. It incorporated some traditional and more modern techniques. You can really see the personality of the couple from the images used. Most of the images were hand-drawn and/or pieced. The huskies, Sasha and Marley, are hand cut and thread-painted.

A memory quilt for a wedding gift.

The above (wedding) and baby quilts were made using mostly clothing and fabric from the bride’s late grandparents. In the baby’s blanket there are three pink and blue paisley blocks that were sewn years ago by the bride’s/mother’s grandmother.

This is the back of a very large, very heavy blanket. I wouldn’t recommend front and back because of the weight. T-shirts are much heavier than traditional quilting cottons!
This is the front of the above-mentioned very large, very heavy quilt! The center is a special creation for the customer featuring his last name.
This is the custom-designed center of the Harley quilt. I saved the labels when dissecting the shirts and used them as the embers from the fire. It was made with raw-edge applique and thread painting.

Collage style t-shirt quilt. The brighter the shirts the more “exciting” the finished product will be.
For the collage styles I like to pull colors out that I think will blend well. I will also take into account the recipient’s favorite colors or even a favorite shirt to kind of ‘feature it’ in the center.
Large blocks to feature fabrics and nine-patch blocks make up this quilt with sashing and cornerstones.
A more traditional quilt with sashing and cornerstones.
Another traditional quilt.
A very busy design for a special young lady. This was bound and tied with two layers of fluffy filling.
